For shopping, Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise is a huge outlet mall
Not only huge, it is crazy huge!
A couple years ago, I've dropped off my wife, her sister and their mom there, went to play a round at Bonaventure Golf club nearby and when I got back to pick them up, they hadn't even reached 2/3 of the mall
For golf:
Plantation Preserve
Jacaranda East (haven't played west)
Deer Creek
Emerald Hills
Hill crest
For a great burger, Le Tub

Top 3 courses for me in exactly that order when I was there last year. And Duffy's Sports Grill on Cordova a great place to hang out at night to watch the games.
If you like seafood, G&B Oyster Bar was really good when we were there for dinner last year around this time. I've heard the adjacent restaurant (Coconuts I think? Same owners) is also good.

Pfft I couldn't drop my wife off at Shoppers Drug Mart, go play a round and come back and she would still be looking at nail polish or something stupid. I could only imagine how much time could be lost in a mall like that.
Im heading to Fort Lauderdale this February. I was thinking of picking up a new set of clubs, possibly Adams. Am I better to wait and buy in Florida or try to get something at Golf Town demo sale? How much better are the deals in Florida I wonder?

I can say that from my experience going into Edwin Watts in Orlando, you'll find better deals at the GT demo sale. Brick and mortar golf shops in Florida (just Orlando area mind you) that I've seen were nothing special, pretty much the prices you see on their respective websites like Edwin Watts or Golfsmith. The only good deals I've found in the states tend to be from online retailers.
