    Braeben conditions

    Hey Nuts

    I braved to cold... and it was cold today and played Braeben. I had the itch and needed to get out.

    I wanted to let you know that it was in surprisingly good shape for this time of year. It was cart path only but the fairways for the most part were pretty dry and the greens were nice and fast.

    Just wanted to let you know in case anyone is scoping out courses for the weeked

    The course must drain fairly well. I played it last Sunday and it was like walking on a water-soaked sponge with water squeezing out from under the shoes on every step. That was because of heavy rain the night before.

      plenty of drainage with all that garbage under there

              was there on Sunday, its in pretty good shape. some greens have dead spots but overall very playable.

                Played last week once. Majority of the greens have tons of dead spots, took a good beating. Probably one of the worst greens I've played on this year.

                Putts were pretty fast at least.

                  Played on Saturday. Pretty decent condition. The practice green and the 18th green were probably in the worst shape with many dead spots. A fair amount of earth-covered ground under repair on the 18th fairway by the green, but nothing that should really impact your round much. I`ll be heading back soon.

                    I suggest avoiding it for the time being. Greens are in poor condition in my opinion. I recall putting over a lot of winter kill. I had an underpar coupon, and even that I thought was too much.

                      I agree, the greens are pretty beat up. Lots of dead spots and very bumpy. But they only charged me around $37 last friday at 3pm so Im not arguing too much. At least they recognize the conditions are are pricing accordingly.

                          Played the Academy course on the weekend with my kids (great experience) but noticed the big course looked pretty burnt out in spots. How are course conditions? Likely dry like my lawn...

                            I played braeben today and found the course to be in really good shape! Some burnt spots but overall better than what I remember (played here 2 years ago). The greens were fast in some spots, especially compared to the practice green.
