Today my father in law and I decided to play best ball at Tarandowah. He usually shoots around 100 there and I shoot in the mid 80's. I thought this would be a fun way for him to feel better about a round out there. It was actually a lot of fun. I've only ever played best ball in a 4 man best ball tournament. I don't usually enjoy those too much because 4 shots from the same spot is a bit too ridiculous for my liking.
We agreed that we would take 9 of my tee shots and 9 of his. We finished with a 6 over 76 and he left the course feeling a lot less beat up than usual. Does anyone else do this when playing with a golfer who usually shoots 15 or so strokes higher than you?
