Found a real good deal on this today, really like the head.
However I'm wondering if the shaft will be too much for me.
Current driver is a TM Burner 9.5* with the stock REAX 50 stiff which I hit fairly well, no problem hitting it high.
The FTI-LCG is a 9.5* with the Ozik XCON 6 stiff.
What swing speed should you have for the Ozik?
What's the deal with the LCG head, is it designed for a better player?

Seemed to hit this 9.5* lower than the TM

    Ping G400 5 - UW

      Re: Callaway FT-I LCG

Very straight hitting head. A friend of mine has one and pipes it down the middle all the time, discusting.

It boggles my mind that they can put a Matrix Ozik Xcon 6 in this club and sell it retail, yet, if I wanted that shaft in the FT-5, its damn near $400 extra!

Great, great shaft. For me, it loads very easily, and even if I really go after it, its seems to never get away from me. Mid/high ballflight, low spin with 2.5* torque. Not much to complain about there. Its probably one of, if not the favourite shaft I have used. Very smooth. As far as swing speed....I think you should be looking more at the loading of the shaft. I have a reletively smooth transition (almost a little pause at the top), but ball speeds are often high 150's, to low 160's.

Of course, all of this is 'IMHO'.

That Burner does hit a higher ball, in my experience. I had a 10.5* TP with a stock X-flex and it hit some of the highest traj. flights EVER. I would expect the LCG to hit it a little lower...the Burner hits it THAT high.
