Lorena wears pretty short shorts sometimes.

From what I've seen not that short but then again I am a relatively new golf fan. Those little purple things are more like a band aid than a nice pair of shorts. I guess I'm just old school and watch for the golf talent rather than what they are wearing. I find it a little sad when women have to 'flaunt it' rather than use their skills to get attention.

Actually I think alot of TRUE golf addicts love watching the LPGA because they have beautiful swings with amazing tempo. Anytime my tempo is off I love watching the swing of Ai Miyazato and others. Eye candy is just a bonus

I'm pretty sure it's not a concern on TGN, but what do you guys think?

As long as they can put a full swing on the ball without having something revealed or end up on TMZ...than I'm ok with it.

Re: LPGA: Are shorts and skirts getting too short?

I watch some LPGA, mostly because it is golf on tv, and I do like to watch golf on tv.

I will say that I was riveted by Lorena O and her smoothness in a recent broadcast.

I will also admit that I was very interested to see Paula Creamer when she was on screen.

Though the pics in this thread do show some revealing outfits, I would say that most were wearing more, not less.
Still getting the hang of this game!

In the Ogio Atlas for riding or Ogio Vaporlite for carrying:

and i'm a big fan of the fitted-shirt in the LPGA that exposes ample midriff on the follow throw after a well struck ball.

You guys do realize the top two photos are simply shorts with a skirt around it. Maybe a female on this board can explain it. Some people think they are wearing a mini skirt with nothing underneath. That is not the case.

I've got two daughters - I know what a skort is.

I'm still trying to invent a chastity belt to fit inside a pair

I gave up on the chastity belt back in the 80's when my daughter went on a date in a skort. Teenage girls are very good lock-pickers!

As one poster mentioned, European and Asian countries are a bit more "liberal" in their thinking with regards to what's tasteful and what's not. That's one reason why the Williams girls were allowed to play in their "suggestive" outfits in the Australian Open. However, their outfits would not be allowed in either Wimbleton or the US Open. I remember one player being sanctioned for not wearing a predominantly white outfit at Wimbleton once.

As for the original question, I really doubt that it's the LPGA that's telling these ladies to wear less material in their golfing attire. As long as it's "tasteful" (no excessive cleavage or exposed thongs or possible "wardrobe malfunctions), I don't think the LPGA will say much about what they wear.

Personally, I've always been a "leg man" anyway!
