Did the same thing once, no injuries, other than to my wallet cost me $137.00 in cart damage,
which the course claimed they did not have insurance for
There was no damage of any kind to the cart as the right side wheels bounced the cart to the left after hitting the curb.

Actually, I made bogey but did par the tough 5th hole.

            That looks nasty!!!

Every year people are killed on golf carts. Not trying to one up, only relating this story to prevent a repeat occurrence for someone else.

Jumped on the back of a cart. (I think we've all done it), 2 guys in the cart, me riding on the back. I was holding the canopy. Unbeknown to me, the canopy, (rain cover), was clipped on, not bolted. Once up to speed, the canopy let go, I went flying backward, with my bag on my back. Somehow, I landed face down on the cart path.

My knee was bashed in, but no where near as bad as your pictures. Fortunately, and I guess instinctively, I managed to protect my clubs from any damage at all.

Sorry to get long, hope you're feeling better soon.

That looks nasty. Did you tell the staffs at the pro shop?

Just as deadly are those hidden booby traps like holes along the seemingly flat fairway / rough. Hitting one of those going full speed will send u airborne off the seat. If not for some cheap package cart included deal, I prefer walking.

I did not bother with the shop. Carts are mandatory at Mystic.

Ouch! Glad you're okay. Those cart paths at Mystic are tricky and the carts handle like an old Porsche 911 - fishtail like crazy if you brake while cornering. I don't think they have any front brakes. Back in April somebody tossed their cart into the bush on #10 at the second ravine.

As I was coasting down the path I touched the brake to slow our progress and the cart lurched sideways, hit the curbing and threw me the driver out of the cart. I flipped 90* to the right striking my right hip on the path, bounced over to my left hip and then slid a few feet.

BTW, no alcohol was involved because I never drink on the course. Fortunately I was the only one affected. Attached is a picture of my right hip this morning.

                              I'll be playing on Friday.
