Put ice on it. Try not to play especially in wet weather. Heavy shots are causing more stress on the injury.
Go see your doctor find out what it is Rotater Cuff injuries are painful, I know I just put Ice back in the Freezer. Cold, Wet weather is the worst. |

Careful with ice. Best to see Doctor, if it is a strain (muscle or tendon) or rotator cuff problem. The latter takes months to heal. Heat may be better in the area to stimulate blood flow to injured area. I currently have pulled muscle tendons in my shoulder and heat is better for it. Rest is the best remedy but for us golf nuts, that's hard to do.

well most of us know the old RICE rest ice compression...salt..butter...er what was that again?
bottom line..rest it...and if in doubt they always say use ice...or play it ultra safe and alternate warmth and cold...to stimulate healing.

To the OP- be careful, stop now you have all winter to golf out there. Let it heal or it wont. Quote:

I take daily medication a harmless pill that has stopped Gout now for many years. I used to have it in my foot and knee.My problem torn rotater cuff and not enough self disiplin to rehabilitate it. Now that the season has ended I think I will do some excersises. |

I'm goin thru physio for a torn rotator cuff right now...painful. I played the last month or so through a lot of pain, and probably did more harm to it. I have a couple of exercises that I have to do twice daily along with my weekly visit to physio for laser/ultrasound treatments. They ice it there. Never advised me that ice or heat would help it recover - it may help if you've just done something and it's sore though.

The last one on here (with theraband my physiotherapist gave me). http://health.yahoo.com/work-resourc...e--zm2390.html These are the 2 I have been told to do for my injury. Every injury is different though. I would recommend having a professional diagnose it...
