  • Had My FT-iQ Measured Today

A recent post on club manufacturing tolerances peaked my interest so I had my FT-iQ measured today. It measured at 11 degrees loft and .5 degrees closed. One interesting point is that everyone who sees this driver thinks it looks alot more closed than it is.

    Regards,
    Dan

    what is the stamped loft?

    10* as in your profile

only 1* off is pretty good for many oems

From what I've read, that's actually really good in terms of manufacturing tolerances. I've heard certain clubs being as much as 2-3* higher than stated.

Also, 0* face angle(perfectly square) looks slightly closed at address, so it's easy to see why it would look more closed than that.

BTW how are you liking that club? That shaft is getting rave reviews
They call it golf because all other four letter words were taken.

To follow - where on the face did they measure the loft? Vertical center, or more where you hit it (assuming, of course, they're not one and the same).

It was measured off vertical centre.

Right on. So the head is pretty close then.

Did you find where 10° was, just for S&G?

Good info Dan, I agree that 1° off tolerance is not too bad.
