The best I've found is "Simple Green", you can find it at crappy tire. Spray, scrub with a nylon brush and then rinse with warm water. Non Toxic and you can clean your engine with it later.

Once dry they feel like new, I've got the Golf Pride New Decades.

now it's no longer a secret - damn

I will say this...I have no idea whats in that stuff, but it sort of smelled like playdoh but then after spraying it after a few clubs the stuff attacks your lungs....I would say that you need a good ventilated area to work with it.

Want ever you do, if you spill this stuff on the floor, or anything wood, wipe it up immediately and flush it with lots of water. It will eat any wood product or vinyl within in minutes.

I'm headed to Michigan next week. Do you want me to pick up a bottle there for ya?

I got a bottle from Autozone last month. Cleaned my grips the next day and used them the following day in the Christo tournament. They felt a lot more like new grips. I'm thinking that with the amount that I use my clubs (playing 3-5 times per month now), this bottle should last until I'm no longer able to play golf!

Hey, you're not supposed to fling the stuff around the kitchen to dry the grips!!

Thanks for the heads up. Bought another bottle maybe this time I will even squirt some on the tires. :-)
Simoniz products all have the same look. I almost bought the Rim Cleaner which incidentally, is also 9.99 - >5.99.

Bought the stuff a couple of weeks ago and it did a great job on the grips. Paid the full $9.99 tho. I'm out $4 or one Pro V into the woods.

Just tried it ...and it worked like magic!

I bought the simoniz tire cleaner with the exact same product code "039-0716-8" (no cleaners with bleche wife on label)

As per the other posts, im sure its the same product cause my grips are back to brand new.

                      Thanks again!

Wow! This is an amazing tip.

My 60 vokey grip was so shiny, I was sure it was way beyond repair. The method completely refreshed the grip, even the white golf pride logo is sparkling white.

                            Thanks OP.

So I thought I'd give this a try today.....

Went out to my workshop to get the cleaner that I bought last fall and discover it's frozen and cracked open. Fortunately the bottle was on its side and the crack was on the top so what is left in the bottle is akin to a popcicle.

So I brought it in the house, filled up one half of the kitchen sink with some Luke warm water, through a few Simonez popcicles in the water and the rest in a small bowl.

Dipped the grip into the water/Simonez mixture and then proceeded to rub the grip down with a piece of the Simonez popcicle.

Rubbed the grip with my hand until I saw foam then again with an SOS pad, rinsed with water and repeated for each club.

Seems to have made a big difference!

I have a few new grips (uninstalled) and the old grips feel very close to the new grips in regards to tackiness and softness.

Sure was more difficult doing it the Simonez popcicle way though. Lol.
