Sawmill Golf course?

Anyone have any reviews on Sawmill Golf course its near Sarnia.
Scorecard? Course length?
Bunch of guys headed down in June to play it for 3 days I think.

Easy links style course. Lots of fescue and little water. Plenty of dog legs so it's very scoreable. The 18th is an amazing finishing hole.

Not to rain on your parade, but I would say Sawmill is one my least favourite courses, let alone play multiple times. The course in my opinion has a terrible layout/routing, somewhat gimmicky.

It has been roughly 10 years since I last played, so I can't comment on course conditions.

Never been down near Sarnia for golf. We have I think 16 guys going down for some golf and a few beers on the side. So the course isn't the most important part. Ever heard of Conley golf course in Butler Penn? That's where we have played in the past and it was just time for a change.

Sawmill is high on my radar. I haven't played it yet but love links courses. When I was in the area a few golfer in the area said it is one of the best courses in the area. I did play Indian Hills near there and enjoyed that course. My research doesn't offer a lot of decent options.

I've played Sawmill many times. It happens to be where I got my only hole in one. It's a good course, well maintained and not overly long. There are many decent courses in the area. St. Clair Parkway, Huron Oaks (least favorite), Greenwood... all within 20 min of Sarnia. If you want a fun, mature course, take a look at Bear Creek in Strathroy.

Some other courses within a 45min driving distance are: Fire rock (Komoka), Widder Station (Arkona) and Indian Hills.

Sawmill is one of my favorite, but I wouldn't play it 4 days in a row. All the courses listed are good, inexpensive courses.

Why not play Ambassador?

Ambassador is located in Windsor, not close to Sarnia at all, roughly 1hr30- 1hr45 away
