        That's a pretty drastic change.

          Re: Spieth Changing Putters!

I guess if I were Spieth, I would be more than happy with what I had.
Interesting to make a putter change given that he is currently tied 39th with 0.371 SG
while his Driving accuracy is off and he's down at 116th in that category
and also 96th in sand saves at only about 50%.
So it looks like he has more than a putter change to get himself back to his old form.

Likely the closest he can get to the TM putter Day, DJ and soon Rory will be rolling.

Just repeat my post above after he missed the cut; but give him his due he was full of confidence in his post round interview. He's hoping of course to defend his D&D title next week, can't see that happening nor him recovering his game in time to win the US Open in June.

                Re: Spieth Changing Putters!

Zack Johnson went the same route more than a few years ago. For some unknown reason replaced his Seemore with the Futura that was around at that time. Couldn't make a short putt with the Futura to save his life and the Seemore was back in the bag the following weekend. Curious to see if Spieth sticks with it.

                  Re: Spieth Changing Putters!

The only reason we recognize Jordan Spieth's name is because of his putting.

His Masters, US Open, Fedex, OWGR#1... all due to putting.

So. He's struggling a bit this year. A quad on 17 at the Byron Nelson yesterday. But that was 7 shots to get on and a 2-putt from 53'. Quads at the Masters.

It's not the putter that's holding him bag, it's the guy using it.

He needs to figure out what he's doing differently from a couple of years ago and get back to it. I agree with a WRXer who said something like "he's the best putter the Tour has seen since Tiger Woods at his peak".

I don't see a new stick being the answer.

His every tee ball is a huge adventure. Start there.

This may get in my head regarding my FGP picks.

                          Re: Spieth Changing Putters!

It's good to see even the best tinker with gear. I'm always excited to try something different.

The summer a new putter is on my radar.
