I think we learned last night why the Pens kept Fleury around. Smart move not dealing him.

Fleury has been amazing!

Interesting how the Pitt goalie situation has worked out. Last year Fleury was the guy, gets the concussion just before the post season , Murray gets the call and plays lights out leading them to the SC

Thus year Murray is going to be the guy for the playoffs, gets hurt, Fleury comes in and had been probably the best goalie of the playoffs so far.

minus the games predicted, I was 2/4 in the west and 2/4 in the east.

Round 2:

Sens/Rangers - Rangers in 7
Pens/Caps - Pens in 6
Ducks/Oilers - Ducks in 7
Blues/Preds - Preds in 6

3/4 and I am happy to get the Sens/Rangers series wrong

I was 2/4 in the west and 3/4 in the east.
My next round predictions:

St.Louis over Nashville in 6
Anaheim over Edmonton in 7
NYR over Ottawa in 6
Pittsburgh over Washington in 7

I was 2/4 - happily I got the Ottawa NYR series wrong.

Nashville in 7;
Pittsburgh in 6.

PK just sent a message to Montreal's management thanking them for having traded him to Nashville. He may have mentioned that being in the Stanley Cup finals was always one of his dreams.

Anyways, I'm glad for PK. Such a senseless trade to have made. Hopefully, Montreal will regret it for a decade.

Great game tonight by both teams. Rinne was fantastic. Tough start for Bernier, but then that 5 minute PK got Anaheim going and they really pressed hard to get it back tied.

When did Nashville get so excited about hockey? That place is nuts now. Might have to plan a vacation there next season.

Awesome roller-coaster of a game. Glad the see Nashville move on. Though, I am an anyone but the Ducks guy. I admire the hell,out of Getzlaf and Perry. Went to a number of Hitmen games when Getzlaf played here. You knew he was going to dominate in the NHL. But the Ducks play to win. They commit so many offences the refs can't call them all and then they have free rein. Not a style I admire.

So, I think the nightmare finals for Bettman and the NHL is an Ottawa-Nashville series. And they might get it. Gonna be one to watch.
