Sleepy Hollow Country Club is looking for seasonal staff to assist in our Pro Shop. We are actively looking to fill full time positions for the 2017 season, below is an outline of the job description for our ideal candidate(s). Hours of operation range from 6:30am to 9:30pm, depending on the weather and demands of the business, so please ensure your availability meets these requirements. Hours can range from 5 to 8 hours shifts, based on either opening or closing shifts.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● providing quality service to members and their guests
● answering the phone and booking tee times for members
● responding to callers who are inquiring about the facility
● maintaining a clean golf shop
● receiving materials for the pro shop
● merchandising the pro shop
● assisting members and guests with pro shop purchases
● operating the point of sale system
● supervising and assisting the Back Shop staff, ensuring members and guests are attended to in a timely fashion
● assisting with tournament organization
● assisting with member events
● closing daily sales
● other duties that arise or as may be assigned by the Head Professional
Experience and qualifications:
● must be available to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
● ability to work in a fast-paced environment
● ability to work in a team-oriented environment
● ability to perform physical job functions during all weather conditions
● strong interpersonal and communication skills
● previous customer service experience working in the golf industry is preferred, but not necessary
