    Lou has always worked in secrecy. Just like AA.

    One reason why he does not allow members of the media on the team charter.

    In Toronto, particularly in regards to the Leafs that has been lacking for decades. Since the return of Ballard from his jail term, the media have had a large influence on how things were run. To the detriment of the team. Do not believe for a minute that many members of the media will not resent this and will try to regain their previous influence/insider role(s).

      It's guessing of course but it is funny that this got done when there has been a lot of "are you kidding me" pressure from the public this week.

      Lou's comments yesterday about what's the rush and we aren't doing things the NJ way do look like face saving comments to me. That he got told seems very plausible. The max rookie contract probably takes 30 second to add a name and print.

        No disagreement with the circumstantial evidence provided.

        However Leaf fans should hope that it is not the case, as media influence in a number of occasions has truly hurt the franchise.

          I don't think MLSE hired Lou just to tell him how to do his job.

          I dunno what actually happened, but I also doubt that public pressure had anything to do with it either. He's got a lot of experience in the job, he knows what he's doing.

                Alan Strachan tweeted today that Lou got overruled. He is retired but extremely well connected.

                Try to sign Vesey without bonuses and that should be a quick discussion.

                  Leafs sign Jhonas Enroth to a 1 year $750k deal - he was 7-5-1 in 16 games with the Kings last year.
