Lots of great suggestions so far. Don't think I've seen anyone mention The Killing yet. Really enjoyed the first 2 seasons. (I'm pretty sure I saw this on Netflix)

Watched bridges of spies. Well made and very good even though I resisted watching it for a while.

Also watched criminal with Kevin costner. What a waste of a cast due to weak plot. Forced myself to finish it.

Black Mirror is great! Blends sci-fi and social commentary. Every ~1hr episode is self-contained and feels like a short movie or long TV episode. Highly recommend!

Season 3 is on Netflix, but seasons 1 and 2 are worth a watch as well.

I second this, really good show. It's kind of like a modern day twilight zone.

Black Mirror is great! Blends sci-fi and social commentary. Every ~1hr episode is self-contained and feels like a short movie or long TV episode. Highly recommend!

Season 3 is on Netflix, but seasons 1 and 2 are worth a watch as well.

I started watching the 1st episode and had to turn it off - it was pretty painful. I did watch the San Junipero episode and quite liked that one.

I agree with you if you're referring to the one with the girl trying to increase her "rating".

White Christmas. That was the first one I watched, which got me hooked.

Saw Sour Grapes. Great documentary. Immensely watchable.

Watched the Siege at Jadotville in the Palm Springs airport. Excellent war picture on the UN in the Congo in the early 60s. Makes me realize how completely useless and morally corrupt the United Nations was and still is.

I just watched the first couple of episodes of 3% last night. It's English-subtitled Portuguese but if you don't mind that, it's pretty gripping.

Just finished Better Call Saul season 1. Very disappointed that season 2 not available yet.

Also finished Luke Cage (liked it but starting to get tired of Marvel superheroes as saw Jessica Jones and part way through Daredevil).

Just watched Netflix Doc Series "Last Chance U" over the weekend. At first I thought I wasn't going to get into it...it follows a Junior College Football team in Mississippi.

Turns out it has some really great story-lines and interesting personal stories. Got me hooked; went through it in 3 days (it's only 6 episodes).
