  • Be Careful On The Cart Paths

One of my regular partners and I played yesterday morning. The path from the 4th tee to the fairway is a little steep and sometimes slippery. As I was coasting down the path I touched the brake to slow our progress and the cart lurched sideways, hit the curbing and threw me the driver out of the cart. I flipped 90* to the right striking my right hip on the path, bounced over to my left hip and then slid a few feet.

BTW, no alcohol was involved because I never drink on the course. Fortunately I was the only one affected. Attached is a picture of my right hip this morning.

    I'll be playing on Friday.

I was a little stiff for most of yesterday. Lots of ice and a hot soak in the tub helped bring out the lovely colours.

Thank your lucky stars it was your butt and not your head.

Ouch...Quite the colours. That's going to hurt for a while. Glad you are OK.

                  One of these might help.

Fortunately there are no rules limiting the number of golf balls you can carry during a match!

Don't hit the brakes hard on Indian Wells #12. It wasn't pretty.

I am amazed at how fast these things happen, lucky you only got a bruise it could of been a lot worse.

Stopped after my tee shot on #10. Too stiff to swing.

Naw, they could argue contributory negligence. I'll heal. I played half a season of football with broken ribs so I can weather this deal.

Maybe the course will sue him; could be Careless or Distracted driving charges looming.
Did the same thing once, no injuries, other than to my wallet cost me $137.00 in cart damage,
which the course claimed they did not have insurance for

i have witnessed a EMS helicopter once on the course. it was from a cart doing a noise dive off a steep bank.
