I tried this technique today for my first round of the year! What a difference!!!
Didn't lose a ball low left all day! It did cause me to question my alignment though! After years of guarding against the hook, I missed a few greens on the right, but just barely. Might take a while to trust this but I'm optimistic for the first time in a while!

I've been sticking with this and my drives are really strong this early in the season - Hitting a few more to right, but quite manageable and much more preferred.

So this boils down to going with a weaker grip? Seems like common knowledge.

Quite the opposite. I still keep a strong grip with my left hand but have an equally strong grip with my right.
It took a few range sessions to get comfortable but I'm hitting my irons beautifully now. No more smother or hook. Same for driver too.

Wow so glad I just re-visited this thread.

I have recently been hitting nothing but pull hooks off of the heel. Strengthening my top hand (while leaving my glove hand strong) fixed it immediately, huge high baby draws.

In photos of his later years it looked like Moe Norman used a similar setup, strong/strong but with no overlapping pinky

A quick update...

This technique has made my driver a weapon, not a liability with occasional success...

Really working amazingly well!!
