No, that is a contrived answer from people who started with a conclusion. Someone who wants to find a way to make Tiger look bad for this.

Had Tiger come to the tournament, despite being unable to play, I promise you the thread would have been about Tiger showing up to steal the spotlight.

And we both know that's exactly what would have happened -- it's an absolute certainty.

My history here is anything but Tiger fandom -- quite the opposite, in fact -- but reading hate for hate's sake is tiresome.
