If I switch to graphite irons does it make sense to also have graphite in my wedges?

What is your reason for making the change to graphite?

If it's vibration dampening then I would say yes.

Saw a pretty good deal on a set of irons with graphite and I need irons, fairly happy with my wedges but wondered if 85 gram graphite irons and standard weight steel wedges would make sense.

I think it makes more sense to have same shafts in all the irons

I play same Recoil graphite shafts in all irons and wedges

Graphite shafts are not for everyone.
If you have not I suggest to demo them first or in the least a graphite shafted set with light shafts like the ones you are looking at.

With an 85 gram graphite shaft you are moving to a significantly lighter total club weight from a typical steel shafted set. This isn't something every golfer will have success with, particularly if you are a stronger player with an aggressive or quick swing and tempo.

Your wedges with steel shafts will be considerably heavier. Whether this is an issue or not? If you like your wedges now, shouldn't be a problem keeping them the same. Too light in your wedges is going to lead to dispertion issues IMO.

There are heavier weight graphite shafts available if that is an option. Another solution if you go ahead and find that total weight is too light is to use counterweights or backweighted grips to bring the total weight up but without impacting shaft flex.
