            Re: Weather

I cleared the driveway this morning and it was good up until about 5. It started raining and within about a half an hour we had a sheet of ice.

And then there's this guy skating down his street.

Also just heard of a fatal accident West of Bradford on hwy 27 in Bond Head.
Apparently the road between Bradford and Newmarket is littered with cars in the ditch and others just stopped with their hazard lights on too scared to continue driving.

A couple weeks ago I attempted to clean out the garage for this very reason. Where I live you have to make special arrangements with the city to pick up large items.

So I call the city and put this massive old couch out for pickup. Somebody drives by before the garbage guys come and takes the couch. Then, I guess they decided it wasn't for them and, brought it back after the garbage had gone by.

Needless to say people are idiots and my car is still outside.

That should be some sort of punishable offence.

The worst is yet to come tonight. I've seen enough fractures today , decided to take tomorrow off and stay inside.

                          Re: Weather

Some freezing rain or just rain here at Yonge/Finch. I don't have an outdoor temperature reading so I am not sure what exactly it is. Some ice accretion on part of driveway that I scraped clean at 6pm. Water still dripping off the roof so it cannot be that freezing yet. Car has some ice on it but not as extensive as early evening yesterday. Trees and powerlines are coated with couple mm of ice.

... Couple of voltage fluctuations just now all within a minute ..... Hopefully that is all. Lights kind of blinked, TV stays on, I can hear the click of the UPS.
