We didn't lose power here in Bolton so that's something. I just spent 4 hrs chipping ice with a heavy straight edger, then scraping under it, then shovelling it up. By far the worst part was breaking all the ice off the car. I finally just had to quit - tank was empty and things were starting to re-freeze making any shovelled parts really slick. Finish the rest tomorrow.

In the Hammer we had some freezing rain overnight then back to liquid this morning. Some small branches, twigs really on the ground but no big trees. Now just drizzling.

Took the dogs down in the valley just now. No signs of any major trees down. The creek is fairly high and a stream that flows into it from behind my townhouse complex had overflowed the path because the culvert is blocked with branches.

E-mailed the pic in this post and a couple of others to my local Councillor advising him of the problem. I got a "we'll look into it" response. OK its Sunday and not an emergency situation.

To my surprise I got a couple of followup e-mails. By 2:30 someone had checked it out and they will clean the culvert as soon as the water goes down. Not bad service. Not bad at all.

A couple of our area. We are leaving the 2 x 4's under the magnolia for another day or two. Not much damage to our trees/property but there is a lot in the area.

In 20 degree (C) dc at the moment. Was supposed to fly back tonight but Porter cancelled my flight. Cant call the 800 number as its overloaded. Not entirely too unhappy.

Still no juice in north east Scarboro. Out since 2 am last night! Now watching the nfl at my in-laws, on a 12 x 12 tv. I may as well have it on radio! Massive number of trees down in the area.

Awright, heading there now we're lucky we're one of those spots who didnt lose power but pretty much most of the area in Scarberia doesnt have power. You should see the line ups at Tim's and McDs and other small food spots, they're all rammed!

Now that's just poor planning on your part. Surely there was room in the car for you to bring your TV. Even sacrifice a person if you need to.

It's funny you should say that. I brought an htv and rogers box but I forgot the friggin remote!

You sure it isn't just falling out of the trees?

All day my trees were "raining" and now they are dropping little icicles.

its stopped now. It was actual drizzle for about an hour but finished.

We have my neighbours tree currently hanging over my roof. a little nervous
