Looking for referrals to any good bathroom contractors in the Durham (Port Perry) area. Looking to do a complete gut job on a large master bath. We've spoken to one local company so far but want a couple more for due diligence.

Related note - some advice on stand-alone bathtubs. I see lots of the acrylic ones that are reinforced with fibreglass for $600-$1000 at Home Depot etc. The contractor we've been speaking with recommends against these and instead showed us a couple that are more like $2200-$2700!! This would be for occasional use only (like handful of times per year). Is this a wise place to look to save a few bucks?

    Thx

    Dave

All I can say is our new build, 10 years old probably has the cheaper solution. 10+ years later and they still look new

              Re: Bathroom renos

I had really great experiences with various trades via the website homestars. Contractors are rated by customers. Choose a few highly rated ones and interview them. I'm sure you'll do well. Contractors always come with challenges so ask a lot of questions up front and choose the one you are most comfortable with.
