the Emperor's press secretary says the overhead camera sensors were purposely tuned to pick up the environmentally friendly grass cover spectrum instead of peoples clothes.
He was understandably outraged that the Press had failed to pick up this government's protection plan to include American grass.

Those of us who were hoping for a magical transformation in character and attitude may be waiting a long time for the emergence of a mature Mr. Trump. Carping about the reported crowd size is childish. More importantly, it underscores that he's only interested in himself and not the Americans' whose interests he just swore to protect and advance.

This isn't a dress rehearsal. Enjoy yourself. There's no do-over.

There's nothing wrong with the size of his crowds, just like there is nothing wrong with the size of his hands...

I'd like to suggest you watch Oliver Stone's- Untold history of the United Sates. It provides Stone's perspective, on Presidents and other world leaders, their advisors, their military leaders, and their policies. It's not that radical, just more blunt from what most of us are familiar with.

Series is on Netflix, and available on youtuble also.
Their electoral process can be rigged, as we see with Truman. Well worth the time.

The other choice was Hillary? Do you think she wasn't self-centred?

Did you pay attention to the campaign?

I'd say that by nature politicians are to a degree self-centered. But to infer that Hillary is more narcissistic than Trump is laughable.

El ex presidente de mexico has some doozies:

                      Vicente Fox Quesada ‏@VicenteFoxQue
Speaking of allegiance, Trump? Speaking of greatness? Speaking of success? America was already great and successful, then you happened!

                      Vicente Fox Quesada ‏@VicenteFoxQue
Dearest Donald, you started losing in what you care for the most: rating. That's right! Big mouth, lousy actions and small crowds cheering.

                      Vicente Fox Quesada ‏@VicenteFoxQue
Today over 500K women united in a single heartbeat. Yesterday, you couldn't even summon half of it. This was clear all over the world.

                          from wikki
Historian Philip Russell summarizes the strengths and weaknesses of Fox as president of Mexico:
"Marketed on television, Fox made a far better candidate than he did president. He failed to take charge and provide cabinet leadership, failed to set priorities, and turned a blind eye to alliance building....By 2006, as political scientist Soledad Loaeza noted, "the eager candidate became a reluctant president who avoided tough choices and appeared hesitant and unable to hide the weariness caused by the responsibilities and constraints of the office." ....He had little success in fighting crime. Even though he maintained the macroeconomic stability inherited from his predecessor, economic growth barely exceeded the rate of population increase. Similarly, the lack of fiscal reform left tax collection at a rate similar to that of Haiti....Finally, during Fox's administration, only 1.4 million formal-sector jobs were created, leading to massive immigration to the United States and an explosive increase in informal employment.

reads like Trump and he might end up sharing some political realities.

Some of the press were not impressed by Spicer's first time at the podium. It was unprecedented, especially the part where he told them what they should have been writing instead of what they actually wrote.

Childish was the first word that came to mind for me. I spoke to a friend later in the day and that was the word he used. First full day on the job and that's what the POtuS was obsessing over. Imagine if something important had happened ...

Not sure if the NYT video has it but the WaPo annotated the video. Spicer's childishness and lies are "shameful and wrong".
