By "best" do you mean tour-quality, fun to play, value for $$?

I've always liked Hawks Landing at the Marriott World Centre.

Played Bella Collina in December. Disappointing. Pro shop service unfriendly, locker room awesome, course meh!

The draw at Bella Collina is the elevation changes and slopes which are rare for the orland area. Service level is zero. Locker rooms are the best I've been to in Florida by far.

Numerous existing threads on orlando Florida already though.

Tranquilo for some awesome looking holes. This place is higher priced though.

The OCN courses for some awesome conditions.

Make the drive up to Mission Inn and play El campeon for a well conditioned tough course with 2 island greens. The bunkers here are crappy though.

Waldorf has great conditions and is fun.

Championsgate country club is nice and fun.

I found the 3 Disney courses to be meh. I found the other 2 Championsgate courses to be meh.

I'm headed back next week. OCN all the way for me.

I realize that but it's gimmicky and not worth the price.

The Champions Gate courses offer variety and good value for dollar! 3 tracks now I think.

Orange County always gets top marks.

I also like Timacuan, Highlands Reserve as well.

That depends on the price! Played it 3 times for $50 or less. Wouldn't pay regular prices. Haven't seen it cheap on my last 2 visits. Have a house within 10 mikes of the course so it's convenient for me.

I went down the second week of December and played 9 rounds... Grand Cyprus New Course is amazing if you can get it for the right price...St Andrews replica, done very well in my opinion. I will play this place every time I go back.

I liked the Disney golf courses, Magnolia being my favorite.. Reunion has 3 nice golf courses, we played the Watson and had no complaints.

We played Champions Gate, a very challenging golf course, didn't do much for me.

If your willing to drive a bit, Mission Inn is about 30 minutes away and it was pretty good ( pretty cheap too).

We got very lucky and played Lake Nona ( I have a friend whose a member) what a way to end the trip!

Championsgate is 2 courses. The third, Championsgate Country Club, is right next door but is not part of the resort.

Celebration Golf Club is a very nice track. Pretty challenging sloped at 135 and rated 72.1 from middle tees.

Gave up playing the cut high overwatered fairways and its 6 hour rounds. Sounds like it might have improved if you had good experience.

At the end of Dec, played 2 warm up rounds at Hunters Creek and North Shore before heading down to Palm Beach for more golf. Its been 2 yrs since my last disastrous visit and now happy to report that HC's greens have recovered and are rolling very well. HC is a solid layout and was once a top 100 public course. Certainly, can't beat the $18 green fee with noon start. North Shore is another good layout with a mix of holes and good conditions. Had it among the best value courses in MCO until I found out after the round that some idiot stole the "shark fin" antenna cover from the roof of my rental car. Sorry, North Shore is now a dump!

Which or the 2 would you rather play; National or International?

Played our first round in December and the greens were very fuzzy. Didn't enjoy it.
Then played Lake Nona, Bella Collina, Disney Magnolia and Waldorf. Enjoyed three of the five.

My personal preference has always been International but the guys find it too penal compared to National. This year that is more true since they rebuilt all the International greens and the firmness of them is problematic given the mounded greens. Can't fly on and stay which is only way to get there on most. We play National once per week and the rest of our games at Highlands Reserve (home).

Played the CC when first opened and was not impressed at all. The greens were good but holes all looked the same and were very very wide with no character. Maybe with housing built up around, it now looks less like a bunch of tees and greens thrown in randomly. Personally, I will stick with National and International.
