Default Putting a new shaft in my 3 wood

Hey there

I was fitted for a Kuro Kage Red 60 (67g) stiff shaft in my driver at Modern Golf earlier this year and i love it (Head is a great big bertha if you're interested ).

I've never been a fan of the stock shaft in my 3 wood , and i found the same shaft that's in my driver for $50 - so I was thinking i might buy it, and try it out in my the 3 wood.

I know people often say that you should put a heavier shaft in a 3 wood, but let's just move past that part - i'd like to give it a shot.

Kuro Kage Red is a high launching shaft, so i'm thinking it will be a good fit for a 3 wood.

My question is, what will I need to do to get this shaft in my Big Bertha V Series 3 wood (2014, no adjustability). (adapter, tipping, cutting it down to the correct length etc)

Also, can anyone recommend someone to do this work - closer to Downtown Toronto the better, but i could drive.

Also any idea aprox how much it would cost?

Here's some pics of what the shaft looks like right now

Thanks!!
Neil

Neil, I would be more than happy to help, but I am a bit east of you - near Oshawa. Please take a look at my site for a better understanding of what I offer and how I could help with other improvements to your game.

Golftown pricing would be something like
extract old shaft $30
install new shaft $10
shorten shaft $10
install new grip $12

If you made the drive to see Dan to help justify the trip you could take your complete set and get him to check all lofts, lies, grip size, etc.

I've never had a golftown charge for every single service required to pull/install a new shaft. Except for maybe the guy at Laird, who will give me a quote and then when it is time to pick it up the cost has gone up by 50%.
