Great! I like how I keep hearing about Grey Silo being a good course.

My favourite so far, North Granite Ridge in Muskoka
        Least favourite, Foxbridge

No idea when. I assume it will be when ever they attract enough rich folks to fill it up, therefore nobody really knows.

We're planning another trip this fall.

Best Golf Course: Angus Glen South

But in all sincerity, World Woods resort in Florida.

                Most Fun: Dentonia Park

Worst: A toss up between Bushwood and Settlers Ghost.

I played Settlers Ghost yesterday and it was a nice track, but come on now, how many blind tee shots can you incorporate in such a short course. If you like havin Driver wedge into some par 5's this si your course. Also, on such a hot day that it was, we only saw the bevy cart on the 4th hole, and that was it.

I must admit, since I started working at Angus Glen, I have become a bit of a golf club snob. I have become overly critical of some golf courses, but if i were to rank my top 5 course I have in The GTA and ontario would fall as:

                    1) Angus Glen South, (of course)
                    2) Maple Downs
                    3) Holinger Golf Club (Timmins)
                    4) Timberwolf (Sudbury)
                    5) Granite Club

Re: Best and worst courses you played

Nicest overall: Legends on the Niagara
Nicest without a special trip (within a hour): Silver Lakes
Worst: White Oaks in Oakville (cheap enough and close enough to my previous house that I did play it several times though)
When I play golf, I always hit the ball really good, but then it always goes someplace really bad.

                        Yes, definitely a GOLF SNOB!

I realize there are the "haves and the have nots", you must be a "have", 'cause I sure as heck can't get on those courses!
(though I played Maple Downs when I worked there...it is impecable!)

Who are all these Private/High-End golfers who have time to post comments on-line???!!!

Plebians like me, only play courses UNDER $80...and there are PLENTY of GREAT courses that thankfully the Angus Glen/Wooden Sticks/National/St. George's/ClubLink-types would NEVER be caught dead at!
                        (eg. Grey Silo, Silver Lakes)

                        btw, I'm not an Angus Glen-fan...waaaay overrated/priced
                        (ask tour PGA/LPGA players!)

                        ...that's my rant...for what it's worth!

Every one is titled to their opinion, and you have yours. I feel differently but hey, I found Glen Abbey extremely overrated. And when speaking with some tour players and tour rep of mine during and after the Canadian open they enjoyed the course. They actually complained alot during the practice rounds about the length of the rough and what not. We had to cut it down, also, #6 was rated the hardest par 3 on tour for 2005.

Davis Love, Mike Weir and Daily all love these courses very much as they have been by quite frequently too play them, even after the open. Love is redesigning the North Course with is team for the Open in 07.

Just thought I might add my 2 cents in and let you hear more than what the media was saying.

Also, 16 under for the winner wasn't near as low as what they said they were going to shoot either.

As for me being a golf snob, I fully admit it, it only seems that the times I can ever get out to play are when there is a higher end golf course play anyhow. CPGA doesn't stand for Canadian Professional Golfers Association. I actually means Can't Play Golf Anymore.

Best for me (el cheapo) - Willow Valley, Kings Forest, Paris Grand
Worst - Niagara Falls Golf Club, Acton Golf Club, Clevland's House resort course.

I am playing Grey Silo, Battlefield, Whirlpool, Hunters Pointe and Penn Lakes this month so the list will change.

I have also decided on Deerhurst Highlands or Bigwin Island when I'm up north next month.

As for Bigwin I remember distinctly trying to convice my friends to drive up there last september cause there website said it was private in 2005. We are now half way through 2005 and I still don't think there sales are going well.
