Can anyone recommend some decent practice facilities around the KW area? Decent hitting area and greens that are similar to course conditions?

Doon is decent once they open (Typically take too long!!)...

There is a new driving range actually near my place that I've never been too as Doon is so convenient, called 'Jim's'...

Website is horribly out of date, but still believe they may be opening soon.

Is Wedges and Woods in Cambridge still operating? Looks pretty decent from the photos on Trip Advisor:

Mar 28, 2024 - Wedges 'N Woods is a complete golf practice facility and miniature golf course in the heart of Cambridge, Ontario. Our fully irrigated tee-decks provide a 300 yard landing area with 10 target green...

But the Range Website is down or non functional.

Rebel Creek by far the best in KW area IMO
Waterloo Golf academy is decent and has a nice chipping setup

Still operating. Dont think they are open for the season but they have a countdown sign on the property. Not sure the opening yet but should be soon.

Victoria Valley just south of Guelph or Vic East in Guelph have ranges and nice greens for putting. Vic Valley would be the better of the two. Not too far off the 401.

It is a great practice facility.

But I wouldn't recommend trying to use it if you're not a member.

                        Re: KW Practice facilities

Rebel Creek is definitely the best truly public facility, although they switched to limited flight balls last year (?).

If you're looking for someplace to get a membership, you can get a facilities membership that includes the range and the gym at Whistle Bear for ~$800. Wayyyyyy better than Rebel Creek, you definitely get what you pay for.

Wow $800 for a gum and a range sounds like a deal. Just out of curiosity how is the gym?

Just looked it up in a recent email, $715+tax it appears.

The gym is not huge, but nice as it is in the new clubhouse. Depth Training does a bunch of stuff in there I think.

It opened last weekend, grass and mats. They've got a nice short game practice area (bunker and chipping) as well as an 18 hole putting green.

Probably closed for today but should be open back up on the weekend. Their website (looks like it is down at the moment) is pretty good about keeping their hours up to date.
