Default What are your R1 / R11 Settings?

For anyone gaming the new R1 or the R11 / R11s I was just wondering what your settings were and what shot shape you go for.

9* R11s swing with a natural draw... Heavier weight (6g) in the toe, gives me better feel and reduces hook tendencies. Everything else at neutral (ASP, loft), as I find any change in loft causes too upright lie angle for my liking.

When I had my R11s last year, it was cranked to full loft (so 10.5*), full open, and heavy weight in the toe. I used to murder that thing, but about 20% of the time it was a gigantic block about 15 fairways to the right. My Covert is now much, much, much straighter and just as long.

I try to go for 'straight' as my shot shape and since I'm a natural slicer, I've got my R1 set to its default 10 degrees, adjusted the sole plate to its most closed position, and left the weights where they were (draw bias; heaviest weight at the heel, lightest at the toe).

Not sure yet, R11S with the Diamana Kai'li been playing around with the settings without a launch monitor. Right not 9.5/neutral but going to try 10.5/neutral tomorrow.

Got fitted for 10 degrees and 1 degree open. After some tinkering on my own and how I actually played, its set at 11 degrees, neutral.

I have a natural draw, but the original settings had the occasional major push fade, which I never used to do with my 910D2. The new settings seems to have helped.

Have my R1 currently in testing.....playing at 8.5* with the ASP at 1 click closed. I could barely spin this beast over 2000 rpm and hit a few balls +300 plus. Still not in the bag though, stock Phenom feels like a wet noodle but should be quite playable for most.

Have the R11S 10.5* with Fujikura F3 regular shaft. Maxed out the loft to 12* with everything else being default.

Hit it straight to baby draw. Tried lowering the loft to get more roll but wasn't hitting the ball as consistently. Loft is my friend.

R11s 9* stiff. Set to c on the sole plate. Pretty straight flight with tendency to block right, hence the slightly closed face to encourage a draw.
Shape depends on where I hit it on the face most of time. A centre hit is a baby draw or straight.

r1 driver - 10.5 degrees neutral or 1 degree open based on body condition for straight.

It is the best driver I have ever used.

R1 > Set to 8.75* (below 9.5 and above 8, I am assuming it's 8.75?)

I mess with the head so it is either 1 setting or 2 open faced. Sort've depends if I plan to turn a few draws or play hard cut all day.

Went low to 8 and the ball didn't seem to spin enough to get full carry or as good accuracy.

That setting for me is around 2600 RPM consistently w/ my shaft.

You had it sent UPS from the states?! That was dumb. Now you're gonna have like a $60+ fee to pay.

I got fitted at the TaylorMade Lab last week - here's my R1 settings:

R1TP
Fujikura Fuel TP 60 Stiff / standard lenght
10 degree loft/ Face angle C3 / 10g weight in heel

Getting it this week, can't wait to see if I can duplicate what I was doing on the range. Hitting baby draws averaging 275 yds. My old driver was a TM R11 regular shaft and I was averaging below 245 yds - I know it has more to do with the shaft than the club head, but being able to try dozens of shafts was a real eye opener.

Great experience with my TM MATT fitting - Shawn Perno was a real pro. It did not feel rushed, all in all a very enjoyable process.

I hate UPS but you can refuse at the door and self clear the package to avoid the brokerage fees. And when it's your only choice it's not "dumb"

12.5 loft (whatever the max is)
Neutral everything else and hitting draw. I play 12.5 loft on my covert too.

I find the higher the loft the more forgiving the misses are for me. Thus I don't mind losing a bit of yardage for a more playable ball.

I have mine set to 10 degree and everything neutral. I tend to hit it low so I want to try moving up to 10.5 but see there are 2 settings...one is upright and I have no idea what that means....

Also I am curious about the orange dial....Just how does that work? is there a weight in the body of the club that shifts?

I thought some of the parts worked independantly of the others... but I guess not. I have a better idea of how I want to see this up now before my next range session. I also have the tuning app on my phone which should be fun to use. Looks good.
