  • Bushnell V3 display question

    Hi nuts,

I bought a v3 yesterday and trying it out outside I am not sure I know how to calibrate it right. The dial is now all the way to the left (counter clockwise).

When I start it, the numbers are clear but it does not stay like that the whole time. It blurs out a bit after a couple of seconds.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks,
    Ovi

Not sure if its the same as mine but my dial (the eye piece) just turns to make it more clear. Something like binoculars zooming in or out. I had never used one but figured it out very quickly. Your gonna love it, I do

Yea I used that and turned all the way counterclockwise (all the way clockwise was very blurry). I am excited to use it Thursday on the course.
My display is clear at the beginning but it blurs out after a while. Does yours stay constantly clear?

Well I push in button and everything lights up aim shoot the target reading appears. Pretty sure it's constantly clear. Never really look through it without having pushed the button. Does yours get blurry even when the red lights are showing?

Long story short once I found the sweet spot for the dial to be on where it was clear when looking through eye piece the display was never blurry for me. Not trying to be an a$$ but you don't have plastic on either of the lenses right lol

This may give you a laugh... so wierd. I think my eyes are the problem. When i use my right eye (normal) it blurs. When I use my left.... perfect clean display at all times.

I think im up for an eye check up

Now that you mention it... I do use left eye in rangefinder as well. I highly doubt it's a must tho lol. But for your info a buddy of mine wears glasses to read and drive and has a real problem using my rangefinder. He's always taking forever with it until I say gimme that thing and shoot the flag for him myself.

Yea man, very valuable tool I never play without mine. Ill never miss finding yardage markers then pacing it off to my ball and guessing pin placements. You'll love it

                          Re: Bushnell V3 display question

Exactly! Thats is why I bought it. I have been contemplating for so long until one of my buddies got the Z6 and we were asking him all the time to measure it for us. I dont want to be that guy haha.

Also, a major reason was using it at the range in order to find the exact distances and practice better. Do you use it to dial in your pitching too? Always wondered if it works if you laser 30yr 50 yr etc.

It def would work at short distances as well, but me personally never shoot a yardage unless I'm 50 yards out. Those shots are more of a "feel" shot for me. Your going to be amazed in how off some courses markers are and how much pin placements make a difference in yard ages. I can't stress enough how amazing these things are.

When it reads 130 yards and I pull PW I can trust the # is right and really commit to the shot. That's a great feeling
