Thumbs up Lessons from Matt Stallone - Launch Golf Centre

I recently tried private lessons at Launch Golf Centre near Hwy 401
and 400. Although it is a far drive from where I live. I thought that
it was definitely worth it.

I got a half hour lesson from Matt Stallone who has been a CPGA
Director of golf for 8 years. He is only one of the instructors at
this Golf Centre but I am happy with my choice. He was very easy to
talk to and even though there was a video set up, he made me feel
comfortable so that I forgot I was being taped. I found the video
analysis very helpful because even though I could feel there were
things wrong with my swing, I was never able to see what I was doing
wrong until that point. He was able to slow down my swing at various
points, highlight the errors and point out what I was doing wrong.
(i.e. not cocking my wrists, lifting and bending my arms, not using my
hips and lower body.) They were all beginner mistakes but he explained
to me how and why those body parts affect and change my swing plane.
He was able to tell me exactly what I had to do to improve my swing
using analogies that made it easy for me to understand. I was able to
practise his concepts in front of 2 mirrors and also hit some golf
balls. After the lesson I was able to hit noticeably better
(straighter) with my 7 iron. I found his tips to be informative, easy
to follow and quick to grasp. And the best part was that I got to keep
a copy of the DVD of the entire lesson so that I can always replay it and
visualize my swing. I will definitely go back for more lessons.

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed your lesson it was a pleasure working with you. Flo has a very good swing for only playing a few years. She had some very common beginner mistakes but with a little help and understanding of the golf swing using my Video Swing Analysis Flo and I worked on some drills and within mintues she started correcting her swing and overall understanding the golf swing. Her first 4 shots she hit where all perfect shots down the middle, we both were amazed she grasped the changes so early. We then looked at her before and after videos and it was amazing to see such a quick change in her golf swing. Keep up the good work Flo, you have great potential, anytime you feel like you need help please feel free to call me for another lesson.

Matthew
CPGA Professional.

Hi Michael,

No this was my first lesson. I was undecided between private lessons and group lessons. But my experience at Launch Golf has swayed me to take private lessons now.

This sounds an aweful lot like advertising to me! Goose, gander....whatever! I get my instruction from Mike Martz of Kitchener Ontario. Mike was a minitour player in Florida and often entered long drive competitions as well. Mike is a student of kenetics and long time close friend of Moe Norman. Mike can be found at Doon Valley G.C. or Rockway G.C. he is the head professional at both clubs. Mike is without a doubt the best ballstriker I've ever had in my group and Im a 3 handicap whos played for 27 yrs. Mike is very easy to follow and makes video lessons available without breaking the bank. 519-741-2939 Mike Martz

Hey QB, I think it's pretty obvious that private lessons are better than group. That goes for a lot of things besides golf lessons...eg. tutoring, music lessons, etc...

Since it was the first time that you have taken golf lessons, I just want to suggest maybe you should compare different instructors for price, location and conveniece.

Hey G R T...I was actually posting about my own experience and I recommend that anyone else that has taken private lessons do the same. How much does your friend Mike Martz charge? Our TGN members in Kitchener might be interested.
