The GTA Am Tour was held there yesterday so you should get lots of responses. That's why all the comments are rolling in re the superb greens.

^^^Do you know what they had them rolling at Dave? I know they rolled them in the morning, so probably a bit firmer/faster than usual. Curious if you can find out.

The thing about the greens at Cedar Brae (another one Big Shooter ) is that they have grain. Downhill, downgrain: Uphill or upgrain: not so very .

I know I had a 10ft putt on 7 that I envisioned hitting about 3ft. It went a good 20ft.

I was one of those few who managed to hit the green in reg on that Par 5 13th but hit the ball on the upper tier. Safe to say i putted the ball off the green

I was just talking to the super this afternoon and meant to ask. I'll see him again this week and find out.

Yup. Go past the pin on your approach and pay the piper.

Local knowledge really helps to ensure you leave you approach below the hole on a lot of holes/

I agree with the few that have played Ridge at Manitou this year. Best greens I've played on pretty easily actually (i'm talking condition wise). I have played Eagles Nest this year too - no comparison (condition wise). Design wise I think eagles nest greens are a bit better.

I knew that - unfortunately my approach came from the rough and rolled out more than I expected.

Funny green....I got relief from the left fence and pitched my 3rd to 12 feet just slightly above pin high in the right fringe. Played for 4 feet of break and it didn't move. Hard to believe a side putt wouldn't charge hard to the front.

Next time, listen to your caddy.

I said 60 yards, not 75.

Was back at Westview today and the greens are still superb. They were maybe a touch slower than the first time I was there this year, but still very good.

How many guys did you have in your group....it looked like a "Tiger" crowd walking down the fairway.

Young kid Tyler had his family following him for his first GTA AM event. Personally, I think it was too much pressure for him to handle as he fell apart after 4 holes. Really nice kid though, took it all on the chin and was a perfect gentleman the entire round.

You can see he's got some game though, hit some bombs out there off the tee.

Was at Westview a week ago and was definitely not blown away by the quality of the greens. I think the TGN crew hyped them up too much and was left disappointed to say the least.

Not in a hurry to head back anytime this year.

Vespra Hills greens are perfect. They roll about 11-12 on the stomp, they holdvwell and are very smooth. Because there isn't a lot of play there, ball marks are few and far between.

I had 152 left on 13....sadly I was a foot into the right rough and needed to hit a 30 cut to get around the tree....which I promptly double crossed into the left fence.

Aside from being punched over a week ago, I can't see how you could say those greens aren't in excellent shape. You can still see some slit marks, but aside from that they were rolling great today. Did you play Middle/Lakeland?

Played today with Spottswoode, they are rolling as pure as can be for a public track, just a touch slower than the last time I was there 3 weeks ago.

152? That was a serious poke from back there, you cut over the left trees?

I played with Scramble and fully agree with him. They weren't even close to "as pure as can be" for a public track. We basically went there because of the comments on here, but neither of us were overly impressed. That's not to say the greens were bad, but they weren't even close to the best.
