Has anyone seen or played the new Niagara River Golf Club? It was designed by renown architect Arthur Hills, his first design in Canada and was slated to open in the fall of 2007. I have played a few of Hills' courses in Michigan and Ohio and they were all fantastic. Looking forward to playing this one. Apparently, N.R. is built on 225 acres and has some holes overlooking the Niagara River.
Does anyone know if this course is operated by the Niagara Parks Commission? I guess I could look it up.

Looks as though it is a privately owned course ... but it doesn't say when it will open, is it public or private, costs etc.

I have never even heard of this course before, but it looks like it could be an interesting one.

I found this on the construction company's site

With spectacular views of the Niagara River, the 18-hole championship public golf course is anticipated to set a new standard for upscale, world-class golf in Niagara when it opens for scheduled play in 2007

First I have heard of the course also.

I've been trying to get information on this project for the last 2 years. Nobody seems to know anything about it. They have a website. Nobody replies to requests for information. I'm begining to think the course doesn't exist. It was supposed to be somewhere on the Fort Erie Niagara River Parkway.

I'm going to Buffalo tomorrow evening. I'm going to try to locate this course on the way back Wednesday.

            Not sure it exists.

I looked a google sat pictures and didn't see any coureses under construction.

Also, not on Arthur Hills site as one of their completed courses or those under construction(well not that I could see anyway).

Some issues with OMB re wetlands http://www.omb.gov.on.ca/ecs/CaseDetail.aspx?n=PL050640

Wonder how they got the photos

Google sat photos are often very old. My area was about 5 years old until recently and even after the recent update it is still almost 3 years old.

Google Earth's sat pic still shows my mother-in-law's car in our driveway. It was taken away to the salvage yard 4 years ago.

What can you salvage from a Mother-in-law? Hopefully the daughter has the best bits already...

My cousin lives in the area where the course was being proposed. I can't verify or confirm this information but it sounds like the project got canned.

I don't think that web site has been updated in a loooong time.
