I enjoyed all these courses, but if I had to rank them:
    1. St Thomas. Love the greens. Stanley is winning so far. Need 3 or 4 more rounds there.
    2. Summit. The most pristine tee boxes of any private club I have ever played. Great layout.
    3. Dundas Valley. Beautiful course
Every club in the bag gets utilized.
    4. Deer Ridge. Not a bad hole on the course.
2 fantastic par 3's over water.
    5. The Nest. This course is gettable if straight off the tee. The challenge is the greens.

My highlights include St. Thomas again on one of their public days.

My visit to St. Thomas was the week before the TGN outing at Dundas Valley, which was also a stellar course, a hot sunny day, and happy to be paired ManFromMoffat and Kich & his pal. So I got onto 2 great Stanley courses back to back.

And tonight I just got back tonight having done 36 holes at Lora Bay today with ManFromMoffat, on a most beautiful Tuesday !

So lucky to have played Goodwood. Having a golf course to yourself was surreal.

I just realized that I haven't played a single private course this year. I've played 34 new courses, but no private ones. I must take more out of town trips and make more phone calls next year.

Bigwin ahead of St. George's??? Really? I get that the Bigwin experience is pretty cool (riding the ferry over, course secluded on the island) but I didn't find the course itself especially memorable...Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. So, out of curiosity, why do you put Bigwin ahead of St. George's?

To add to that...damn! You've played a lot of great courses this year. You lucky devil!

                        To each their own, but...

What's the fascination with Cherry Hill, I mean, it's nice, but certainly not much Wow-factor?

The greens! Best set of interesting green complexes in the region?

Nice mix of holes, cool place, great condition and finished in less than 4 hours was good too.

I think the last two renovations to St Georges haven’t been all that positive.

Moving the tees back on 2 and 14 and 17 made them all but unreachable (without two near perfect shots) thereby converting three of the best par 4’s into very mediocre par 5’s. The green Reno three years ago was bungled. Greens seem to feature plenty of undulation but at modern speeds there are very few pinnable positions on many greens (4, 5 and 18 being examples). 3 is now a cruel joke.

I may sound too critical, it is still a very good golf course and I like the club. I don’t get as much joy playing there as I used to.
