I just got word foxbridge is closing on Sunday, tomorrow, seems early to me.I hope columbus stays open for a while .

For good? Not like I would go back there ever after playing it for the first time in July. Easily in the bottom 3 right there with Newcastle and Harmony Creek.

Funny fact, booked a round at Mill Run through golf now (never played) and the address listed sent my GPS to the side entrance of Fox bridge. I thought I was getting trolled hard until I got on the phone with a rep from Mill Run. Good thing too, because had it actually been foxbridge I would of turned right around and went home.

Sure, but that won't nor shouldn't silence someone else's opinion. Besides given the state it was in when I played was wondering if it was a permanent closure, or just for the season.

Yep, unless something changed. When I played it, half the course looked like a hazard, with rock solid dirt brown fairways. Rough greens too. Perhaps I went during the worst time? It is possible I have seen more than one course go from 7/10 conditions to 9/10 over a couple weeks. But this was bad, like 3/10 bad.

2018 closing dates golf

To get this thread back on track: down at Niagara Parks they told me yesterday that Battlefield is tentatively scheduled to close November 3^rd (subject to weather). The greens on Battlefield were in fantastic shape yesterday for the most part, btw.

Golf North has published its preliminary closing list with a batch of their courses starting October 28 at this writing (again tentative).

It's the same every year, it SUCKS, timing for some of these seems like a month early, IIRC last year courses around Hwy 9 closed these dates in November.
