  • Bandon Dunes

Lucky enough to be here for 4 days of golf...it is all it is made out to be if not better. Played Pacific Dunes today (ranked #2 public courses in USA) and it's rating well earned. Played the 13 hole par 3 course in the afternoon.

    Tomorrow playing Bandon Dunes twice.

It is also very windy here all the time...2 to 3 club winds.

The customer service is best I have ever seen also.

Enjoy Gerry. Some friends went two years ago and they raved about the experience.

Congrats! Definitely a place I want to travel on my bucket list. If you don't mind me asking, how was the transportation out there? Were flights expensive? The price of Bandon vs. a Scotland trip is not a ton of difference, if flight packages I saw were correct.

Well the golf is done...4 days of 36 walking...those of you not on facebook have not followed my Bandon Blog...I started exercising for this trip on boxing day...I wanted to be able to walk 36 holes a day, I exercised 125 days in a row, I lost 28 pounds, 4 inches of my waste, 2 shirt sizes down...and I was able to walk all the rounds.

Anybody who is a golf nut has to do this trip.

Borders are open now for planes, they never closed. I’ve been to the US 3 times golfing in the last year. Nobody asks any questions when you check in at Pearson. Plus the US is wide open now you could easily go this summer if you wanted to

I've had the good fortune to go to Bandon a few times over 20 years. These days we create the magazine for the ownership's three resorts—Bandon, Cabot and Sand Valley. All three are exceptional. The magazine is all online here: https://dreamgolf.com/
I've gone to Bandon in several ways -- sometimes flying to San Francisco and then to Coos Bay, sometimes coming from Eugene and sometimes from Denver. It all depends on the time of the year. And don't overlook Sand Valley -- which is perhaps the most fun of all three of their resorts.
