Imo, if you’re looking to play Deerhurst this year, avoid prime time and the big $$.

The greens are still quite poor (13/18 were lost) and many fairways have lots of winter kill.

    No temp greens anymore tho.

    This is the 12th green.

Well, it can’t get any worse. Lol.

They were using a device called a Mully Cup for removing the ball from the hole. It’s the best and most robust device I’ve seen this year at the six courses I’ve played.

That's too bad. But a lot of courses are struggling with conditions due to the extreme temps. Although those greens look like they were recently aerated? Or verticut?

I can see how the pics may make it appear they were recently aerated.

But no, they’re just growing back. They’re very patchy and bumpy.

The very few that weren’t lost this spring were in nice shape tho.

Not that it matters. But those are the lines from a slit seeder. Think verticutter that drops seeds on the channels it makes without the mess.

played today - made it to 17 before thunderstorms took us off. Greens on a couple holes were borderline unplayable. Overall it was fine, but not quite up to the price tag.

Have 24 guys going there for a boys Ryder Cup. Heard the course conditions are brutal. Anyone know if this is still the case?

Anybody played here lately? Are the greens back in good shape yet?

I played there 3 weeks ago. Not what it once was. Greens weren’t great. Too expensive for what it is.

played today. was on the lookout for sub-par greens - didn't notice any. conditions were very wet on account of the weekend rain but course was generally in good shape. no hesitation returning.
