Rebel Creek…?

Before the sign went up, I cut through too.
That signage they put up is very poor IMO -> the sign is pretty small with a small font -> very easy to miss / ignore -> should have been larger overall and more in your face. Agreed with Nathan -> the walk around the front of the club-house is kinda dumb, passing the cart-clean / garage area as well, and traversing a lot of pavement.WITB for 2023 | Titleist Hybrid-5 Stand Bag -> 11 clubs

If the club is going to make routing changes, why half *** it? It seems like a very ham fisted, not very well thought out approach to drive food and beverage revenue. If people want to go sit on the patio and have a beer post round, they'll seek it out. Where as now it feels like Disney/Universal where you're forcibly routed through the gift shop at the end of the ride.

The range and practice greens are some of the best around for a public course. I would recommend making the drive, it would be worthwhile IMO.

The current #9 is not that difficult (IMO) and quite short.
Get off the tee with whatever ( driver/FW/hybrid ). The second shot can be garbage, as long as it’s in play and you will end up at the bottom of the gulley. I’ve hit thin shots, chunked shots, etc and end up within 115-130 to the pin. Now if one hits a decent Drive followed by a good FW or Hybrid particularly up the left side, you can be on the green, or very near the green in 2. If not, it is a short 3rd shot hole to an uphill blind green and one needs to have some experience with what it looks like up there. Having played Rebel many times, I know what I need to do.
GN courses and conditioning are rarely a problem in spring and early summer. It’s only after excessive play that the greens get abused.

For reference to London I would say it's no worse of a walk then Thames Valley.

The greens were rolling quite quick for early morning and only an hour after the rain stopped. I walked it as a single in 2h45mns but I would say most people cart because of 2 good walks up 9 and 18 as well as the walk from 9 to 1 tee.
