only the ones that people leave behind because they are too short on time to tee off

And to be fair, they have dropped their pricing in recent years to more competitive levels. Though little things, like having to pay for range balls on top of a $120 green fee, still annoy.
I was at Lionhead recently for a tournament, price I didn't care too much for charity, but I was warming up on the range cause it was included. These were some of the absolute worst range balls I have ever seen, like I also played some small course east of Kingston and got a small bucket for warm up. Out of the 25 balls maybe 3 were meh the rest were solid range balls. Those 9 holes and small bucket was $35.

I agree - shape wise it is one of the best non elite courses in our area - fairways are cut short are never rock hard even in the hottest summer and greens always held - rough is evenly cut - not to mention it was extremely reasonable as I had a senior 5 day membership with cart in 2021 - last year they had memberships - for 2600 dollars and I could play 4 other courses

            Surely he must mean Camisle.

Which funnily enough, is how I read the post.

Carlise was always a nice little track.

Yep. Really unfair to a nice track that was always one of my reasonably priced favourites in the region.

I guess it depends on how we are judging "worst". Like Banty's Roost is likely the worst course Ive ever played. Many of the greens are not fully covered in grass and one of the greens has a soda machine right beside it. But everyknows it is trash. it is cheap and you can play in jeans and take your 5 year old kid.

On the other hand there are courses that pretend to be good and are 125$ ++ and are total trash. Horribly run / horrible conditions... perhaps they used to be good. Every Kaneff Course falls into this category

I wish I'd paid more attention to the Lionhead comments here. Wow, it's overpriced for what it is. Conditioning was really poor, I'm in no rush to go back.
