Looking to treat a friend to a luxury golf experience for his milestone birthday. Where should I take him in gta area? Money’s no object for this.

Surely lots of options and no doubt some more expensive but if it was me and the guy seriously loves golf...

It depends some what on several factors, most locals want to play Glen Abbey and Wooden Sticks at some point.
Will you be drinking, staying over or what?
I agree with previous poster as well but as far as glamour goes not so much. Of course some have access to real luxury in the top notch private courses with the right connections and sometimes handicaps you can get on pretty much anywhere. Back in the day when the company owners were picking up the tab we had the privilege of playing quite a few. So I guess one of the above is your best option.

I concur about Osprey, it has 54 great holes. If you take me with you I can act as a tour guide.

          Eagles Nest.
Very good experience overall and another Carrick design to boot.
Restaurant also gets fairly good reviews from some, 'though I have only tried their burgers at the turn (decent, and it was a few years ago).
An alternative to Osprey, which is my first love

Would strongly recommend booking your round(s) now by paying the advance booking fee. That way you will get your choice of course(s) and time(s).

Also note that The North (and possibly the driving range) will be closed for the season after the long weekend in August.

Further, the place will be a construction all season. It is dusty, and there are concrete road barriers just a few yards away from the 18th green on The Hoot.

Finally, FWIW, if you really want to make this a special occasion for your friend, wait until 2024 when the new facilities will be finished.

Yes, I agree with the above. Osprey is the place if he is a "golf nut", but this year may not be the best year for a luxurious experience. I would say Eagles Nest presents the most luxurious (ostentatious) experience in the GTA, but you said you've played it. How about The Nest at Friday Harbour? Or get yourself on to one of the platinum Clublink courses.

Just played Osprey on Friday with all the construction it’s not as luxurious as it could be but still a top rated course.
                          good luck with the search

Agree. Excellent course and a nice clubhouse and restaurant etc.

Osprey golf is certainly very good but the supporting infrastructure is far from what I would call luxurious, it's really not very good at all. That will change over the next couple years.

if great golf is all you want OV meets that. If you want a nice place to have a drink before and a shower and dinner after, probably best to do Copper or Eagles.
