Having seen a set of Ping Eye2's on the BST I was wondering about classic golf club styles. What classics have come and gone over the years? Are there any present day classics?

Classics denote a specific time period in forged irons mostly. Classics don't come and go. They seem to hang around forever long after they've been replaced by better.
If you are asking what classics are still commonly put into play, then all the versions of the Ping Eye2 would fit, in particular the Beryllium iteration.
