N-vend has been around for a long time. Great feedback record.

That said, I'm no expert on Callaways.

Go demo a set at a local golf shop to be sure you like the club.

Getting the club from within Canada thus avoiding duties, big shipping costs and delays in shipping is a bonus. The shipping costs and duties in some cases makes whatever savings your making in buying the product pretty much a wash relative to buying retail.

In the states at golf galaxy its 699 as well. Though when your coming back they will charge you 14% tax at the border. I was over there this weekend and probably going to go back next month to pick up a new set of clubs. The prices are cheaper.

                Re: buying from ebay?

I have been buying clubs on Ebay since 2001.

Someone mentioned duty.....there is no duty payable anymore.

My nearly new mint condition 8.5* Superquad was $233.88 shipped includes taxes paid. $174.50 Ebay+$34.95S&H+$24.43GST/PST.

You go pay $599.99+$83.99 on in Golftown....

                I won't....

Another option you don't seem to mention is still dealing with golf town, but still getting an ebay deal. How? Thru their ebay.ca seller auctions. I have seen x20 iron sets in great condition at low prices. Going into the fall winter season I am sure more will show up, set up a search under ebay and they will email you each time golftown adds x20's for auction.
ps it seems alot of their stuff is off the rack and barely used if at all. Most, not all, but most.

                    Re: buying from ebay?

I have tried the X-20 @ GT and likes the feel. If the price difference was only $100, I think I wouldn't hesitate and just bite the bullet. When its 300 + less tax. My mind starts to wonder. Thanks for the tip guys. I'll keep my eyes out.

I was actually @ golf town and ready to buy clicgear (3 wheel pushcart) when the sales guy said "what's the rush?" hinting it may go on sell soon...

hhhmm...it is end of season, maybe I should wait a bit and see if there will
be better pricing on the irons. The new clubs won't see much grass till next spring anyway...

                      Re: buying from ebay?

Great choice with the X-20's!!! I would highly recommend that you also check out the Callaway Pre-Owned website as they are know for their excellent service and for under-rating their clubs.

So when they say a club is in "very good" shape, it's usually in excellent condition and a club that they say is in "excellent" condition is practically brand new.

And you have the security that you're obviously not getting scammed since it's from Callaway.
