Wife gave me the go ahead to install a simulator in the garage. Already ordered the gc2. Just wondering if anyone had a connection or recommendation for the enclosure and mat etc. And yes I’ve already checked out par2pro and Carl’s.

Budget? Do you need to tuck the sim enclosure away to park cars?
I have country elite mat, some people don’t like it as the am at will grab your club if you
chunk it, resulting in wrist & shoulder injury if you do it too often. Haven’t had issues but I don’t tend to chunk/fat shots. True strike or fiberbuilt are both good options.
for screen par2pro impact screen is pretty good. If you need to tuck it away you might want to look into sport screen and put the impact screen on it. There is probably a wait to get the screen.
lastly, GC2 does not come with any software, you will need to buy FSX (or FR1, older software if you can find someone selling), or TGC2019, and a PC (and projector)
Lots of good info here https://golfsimulatorforum.com
good luck, it was a fun project!Difference between Regular, Stiff, X-Stiff is the amount of alcohol content. Enjoy responsibly.

Thanks for the reply, I’m not going to bother with fsx as it’s stupid expensive for very little. Going to go with tgc. Computer and projector I will do last as I can build the computer myself.
the screen will not have to be put away, currently have sportscreen out in the driveway for hockey pucks and considered doing that. I could get a strip of Velcro sewn into the screen and attach it that way. Haven’t worked out all the details as of yet. Just trying to get an idea and research as much as I can to get the best outcome. No real budget In mind. I don’t need the best of the best but also don’t want to chince out on anythingMEMBER OF THE 2008/2011/2014/2016TGN/OGF RYDER CUP CHAMPS!

Canada's fastest growing sports supply and installation company, specializing in turf, netting, golf supplies, driving ranges, miniature golf and indoor golf simulators.
Sourced my mat from this place about 5yrs ago in Welland (Niagara). They do home sim builds and also sell the materials - had them cut me a 6x6’ remnant from a roll they had in the back shop and cost me about $300 IIRC. Quality is unsurpassed - used faithfully during off season, wears like steel and has been outside through winters/summers and still looks new. Mat is quite thick and forgiving on irons (no joint ache hangovers from impact), accepts real tees up to 3 1/4” long, can also be repaired if you happen to hack out a patch (after thousands of iron shots mine still looks new so i highly doubt repair will ever be needed) and rolls up fairly easily to store when not in use.

I went with sports screen facing the garage. I changed the little hitting mat to a country club elite. I got used commercial sports turf and covered the entire garage floor in it. My wife can park her vehicle in the garage on top the turf as this has holes in the bottom for drainage. My heavy tarps mesh screen is coming soon. I haven't yet gotten a chance to install the side curtains.
I got the top net at net world
Heavy Tarps for my mesh screen
Peak tarps for the industrial side curtains
MSI Trident 3 gaming computer
HP 42" touch screen monitor
Epson ub5030 projector
Flightscope X2 Elite
Chamberlain Side mount garage door opener

Thanks! Going to give that light a try.
10ft of flight will definitely work for radar units. The longer flight you have the better the measurement and calculation will be.
If length is a concern GC2 or Skytrack are good choices.Difference between Regular, Stiff, X-Stiff is the amount of alcohol content. Enjoy responsibly.

My new sim is work in process. I have been surprised how cheaply this can be done.
The projector screen will be backed by a "Sportscreen" (very slick, can be powered and use a remote) The Hockey Life store has a standard version (manual roller system) on sale right now for $200. Needs to have a screen mounted in front to give it strength.
Actual screen is coming from Par 2 Golf. ( they sell raw screens at a reasonable price)
Big piece of artificial turf to cover garage floor (lots used turf available on kijiji)
