Best comparable to Hogan Edge iron?

Apparently it was the first forged cavity back ever made. Any other irons similar to these? Asking for a friend.

Are you looking for something from the same era or a modern equivalent?

Whenever I think of forged irons, Mizuno comes to mind. The latest JPX forged would be a good starting point.

Not forged, but when I saw those pictures I thought of the Titleist DCI 962 from the 90s.

don't mean to blow your friends enthusiasm, but the first Hogan forged cavity back was not their best.
I had a set. The face was ultra hard.no matter were you struck it.
They tried too hard to be a forged crossover from the extremely popular Pingeye2 and TA845 castings which sounded much softer at impact.

If "your friend" is stuck on Hogan ,the Apex Plus is a much better alternative to that '89 Edge.

I have the black dbm version. They're great clubs. Picked mine up off ebay for a steal.
