  • Travel Bag Recommendations?

    Hi gang,

I was hoping for some recommendations for a good travel bag. I have traveled before but I borrowed a bag from a family friend. What I liked about that bag is that it is nice and snug so the clubs aren't rattling around, and has great padding up top. It's a bag boy, but it's an old model that I can no longer find.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've used a Tour Trek and liked it.
    durable
    great inner and outer padding
wheels allow it to be dragged or pushed when upright
lots of inner and outer pockets

IMO, at all costs avoid a hard case as they are a royal PITA to fit in vehicles, store etc

Whatever travel bag you end up with, put your irons into your golf bag upside down (heads in first). It shifts the weight to the bottom of the bag and makes it much easier to manage.

This is either a great tip or a genius prank. 😀

Prior to my last trip I lucked out and came across a Sun Mountain ClubGlider - this has got to be the easiest travel bag to maneuver - definitely highly recommend. The Club Glove is also as good as it gets - given its durability.

I will say though remove which ever heads you can remove, pack them in their respective headcovers and tuck away into one of your pockets on your golf bag and don't forget to turn the shafts down into bag (so grips sticking out).

I use an SKB hard travel case and agree it is a PITA to fit in cars and heavy to drag around the airport but i don't worry about my clubs. It has a lifetime guarantee and as long as it shows up at the baggage area I know my clubs are undamaged.

Haha thanks! I actually read about this before I traveled to Cabot last year and it is a life changer. The balance of the bag is great and nothing is rattling around!

I see a lot of suggesting Club Glove but a quick google search shows that it isn't on sale in any canadian retailers/websites...

Where did you buy it? I don't see them being sold by any Canadian retailer/website
