BTW, what does "Tour Only" really mean? There are so many of them that I thought it was just an embellishment for clubs being offered for sale!

yes ,your take on it is close enough.
It was supposed to infer the club or shaft was made to a tighter spec than was available to mere mortals.
The now defunct "BombSquad "site became notorious for ripping its "Only" fans. who eagerly swallowed their Tour Only pitch hook line and sinker.

I know this will offend some, but Scotty Cameron continues to spread his own brand of Tour BS with his GSS lineup.

FIR was way down to just over 53% but many were just off the fairway so mostly pleased. I play the amateur setting, which travels further than the pro but less than beginner. I take the 249 with a grain of salt. But the relative numbers are significant for me. I will stay with the high loft for sure.

A bit off-topic I got to try my new to me M6 9 wood. Wow. The only thing is it's stupid long.
Hey Al, very interesting comments and findings - very much appreciated
As soon as the Season starts, one of my (MANY) tests and experiments will be to face off my 16* SLDR Driver against my Orlimar 16* FW.
If you kept one of your fav 3 FWs maybe you can comment on this as well.
And re. ur 9FW: will it find a place in ur bag and what it will replace ?
          Best and cheers !
...oh, your distance gains with that new shaft are amazing - hope that shaft also continues to "find fairways" and you'll be putting for Eagles more often than not

Thanks Serge. This Sat it's back to the sim but going to set the HL driver back to it's normal 13 loft. We'll see if the distance gains are shaft or loft related or both. The 9 fw is definitely replacing the 4 iron. 180 club I hope. Although it may also bump out the 5 and 7 woods as redundant.

Saturday picked up a TM M4 12 degree with stock reg Atmos shaft. I played it at 12. Averaged 220 yes and 70 FIR. Also then played my Stage 2 HL at 13 with Tensei R age had similar results.

Today a different story. I stuck a Lite R11 shaft in the M4 and played it at max 14 degrees. 238 with 78% FIR. Happy. Then went back to the Stage 2 with the Tensei at max 15 degrees. 242 with 57% FIR.

I'm done with the experiments. High lofted drivers give me the most yardage and reasonable FIR. Happy.
