Has it ever happened to you that your regular grip suddenly feels foreign to you?

It happened to me for the whole day today. As a result, all my balls ended up rolling on the ground.

    Why does this happen?

Yes it happens a lot.A friend of mine who hits the ball well, quite often waggles 5-6 times, which is not his norm, because he doesn't feel comfortable but doesn't know why.

I'm going thru that right now. It's driving me nuts.

My iron grip is different than my driver grip.
I'm just glad it's end of season

I wonder if it's the weather. Today was the first cold day this season.

Grew up playing baseball, so when I started golfing at 13 I used a baseball style grip. 20 years later, I pick up my clubs and interlock my left index with right pinky and can't go back to the baseball style grip. Old grip is uncomfortable. This just happened last month.

Rolling on the ground means you are topping the ball which in turn likely means you are flipping the club at impact with a cupped lead wrist rather than compressing the ball with a flat lead wrist.

I'm going through something like this now with searching for how I was hitting it a couple weeks ago. No fun and a bit scared to play as I was blasting some well right to the point I was going down to my DI and 4i off the tee. Heading to the range shortly to keep at it, but got to the point yesterday where I even took the glove off and started hitting balls, I;ve never played without a glove.
