    Best golf trip in Ontario

Looking to organize a golf trip this season in Ontario. Looking for a cost efficient way to have a weekend trip, but also not sacrificing on quality of golf.

That said, any recommended resorts, cottages close to courses? Where should I be looking for good golf? Id say within 3hours of driving.

I wouldn't rule out courses like Huntsville Downs (the front 9 was designed by Stanley Thompson) and/or the Rock. The GM at the Rock also owns/operates some cottages close to the course.

    This is correct!

Deerhurst has some good rates until June 27, and then likely again in the fall. I think you can golf the little course for free after 4pm or something like that.

If you call and ask nicely, you might be able to play Grandview. It is directly across the street from Deerhurst.

Played 36 at Parry Sound today.
    Cart path only.
Course is pretty wet after the rain yesterday. Greens havent been cut in a couple days. Wasnt in pristine condition like previous trips .
Would avoid for at least a week with no rain.
    The Ridge on Wed .

The one thing I really liked about that Best Western was I had a courtyard room where the room opens up to the courtyard which has the pool area. That was kind of cool.

It is quite a ways away from the main strip of Niagara. We played 4 rounds in total (1 at Grand Niagara, and 3 rounds at the 2 Legends courses - 1 was a same day replay that we had to pay an additional $35 per person for). We stayed 2 nights and payed about $430 a person and this included the 3 rounds of golf. Should have included a round at Whirlpool while there also - I guess we will have to go back to play it.

Might be the same guy but different ad. This one does not mention weekend restriction.

EDIT: must be the same guy. It says 'contact Daniel' at the bottom of both

Yes... I'm playing there June 1st. I think non-members are good until about mid-June if I remember correctly.
