Recommendation? 6-12hrs from GTA

Turning Stone is beautiful.

I live down the street and the casino/resort is quite nice for a smaller place.

You can park your car and not use it the entire trip. There are plenty of different restaurants from high end, to pub or buffet. There are a variety of places to grab drinks after dinner as well.

Turning stone is currently my number 1 choice. Not too far of a drive and it looks beautiful! Unfortunately due to some unfortunate events I don’t think it’s going to be happening this fall anymore but hopefully next year we can make the trip out there. I’ll definitely send you a PM if we head your way. Thanks!

Just bumping this up as this year I would love to go for a ride somewhere, this is one of the places Big Shooter and I always wanted to go as I have heard some great things about the place, it's really on my radar for sometime this summer ..

It’s been on my radar as well. I’ve never been to Turning Stone.

The Amateur Players Tour is doing a 2 day event there August 27 and 28 2022 on the Kaluhyat and Shenandoah courses.

Thinking of going to Ohio for golf in about 2 wks? where would you suggest for good golf and wam(er) weather?

Like Cleveland, Ohio? I wouldn’t suggest there for warmer weather. At the moment Frederick, Maryland looks better forecast wise. If you stay flexible and adaptable to location you can really get the best/ warmer weather.

Was thinking of more south west Ohio like Columbus or Cincinnati. But Cincinnati is closer to 8 hrs in terms of drive. Columbus looked promising in my research but looks like all the good courses are private.

Thanks, looks like a nice fun track, would love to go for a drive this summer, if I do I will certainly reach out, but the way gas is, the way business is and what it cost me to join Coppinwood I might just stick close to home, but I will defiantly reach out if I decide to drive to Turning Stone, thanks again and be well,

Bring extra balls for Kaluhyat .

If you can stay in the lodge rather than the tower, it is much nicer (but both are good).

Wildflowers is a quiet restaurant out of the way. The steakhouse is nice and the bar is busy. Book reservations yesterday!
