Looking at taking advantage of the low-season rates. Average temps seem to suggest a range between 5-10 degrees C. Anybody been down in Feb and can comment? Thx

Pinehurst in Feb?

I spent March in Hilton Head for 7 straight years before covid.....The drive through the Pinehurst area on the way in late Feb, saw everything from shorts one year, to snow shovels. Dicey is an excellent March description. There's a reason they are off season rates....Then again, you might get fortunate.

I have been to the Pinehurst area 5-6 times in January/February. Ive seen snow once, but also had a few days above 20 degree. I think if you get mid teens then you have good weather. If you have flexibility for last minute travel just watch the forecast and shift you dates based off the weather. Mid Pines/Pine Needles has a really good deal from late November to mid February where unlimited golf plus accommodations for $150ish/night with a 2 night minimum.

I would echo the sentiments of everyone else. Pinehurst is a pretty amazing experience and I've been fortunate to experience and play a lot of properties in North America. I'd wait until the weather turns to get the best out of your trip.
Are you flying or driving south? Streamsong is an option where the weather would be better that time of year and the rates are generally lower in February. Three courses plus the putting course and everything is all on-site.

Driving down with my better half end of March to Myrtle Beach but staying around Pinehurst. Planning on driving about 10 hours, stay the night likely in Princeton, WV and then to Pinehurst area.
Any recommendations for a course with reasonable green fees? Will pay around US$100 per golfer.
Tobacco Road was US$230 per player so that's out.

Drove up unloaded bags offered the person a tip, he said no I am the owner and don't take tips.
Love the course, but too rich for me now, want to take my 2 grandsons, sure hope it can happen, will have to look for different time of the year.
