  • Marking another player’s ball

Is a player allowed to mark another player’s ball on the green?

Doc Redman hit his shot into the sixth green and it sure looked like his playing partner was going to mark his ball.

Thx. I did some searching online but didn’t come across a definitive answer.

It sure looked like he was marking Redman’s ball but none of the commentators said anything so I must have been wrong.

This is generally the best place to check on a rule.

Putting isn't golf, greens should be treated almost the same as water hazards: you land on them, then add two strokes to your score.
